If you’re looking to fade your scars, Mederma does work very well. I suffered a serious fall back in 1993, that left me a couple big scars on my knees and chin. Mederma Gel really help to fade them to the point where you have look really hard/know what happened to see a mere trace of the scars.

I would not rub it all over your stomach if I was you. It could take some time, but I recommend you only put it RIGHT on the stretch marks and not on any areas that don’t have any obvious stretch marks. Mederma hides the appearance of them by lightening the skin..so if you put it ALL over your stomach your stomach would be a very light color and the rest of your body would be a darker color. But, if you place it only on the stretch marks only they will get lighter and they will eventually blend in with the natural color of your stomach. I hope that made sense!

Stretch marks are scars and scars are permanent. They fade with time, though. Mederma is pretty expensive and cocoa butter lotion will help them for much less.

I am using it now and have noticed a VERY slight difference (after 1 month). But it says it is guaranteed to work, so I kept my receipt. You have to use it for 3 months for new scars and up to 6 months for old scars. So if I do not see a difference in 3 months I am going to send it back.
